Audio and driver information systems
All Citan vehicles are equipped with a radio preinstal-
lation without speakers as standard. This includes the
wiring and power supply for easily retrofitting a radio
to a single DIN slot.
The fixtures for the radio's speakers are installed at
the front and rear. Tweeters can be installed on the
left and right of the instrument panel and bass
speakers can be installed in the driver and front
passenger doors. The corresponding speaker prein-
stallation is located in the trunk/cargo area on the
passenger van.
Radio variants
Two radio variants can also be ordered directly ex
factory:
• Radio Entry (Renault) without CD drive
• Radio Entry (Renault) with MP3-capable CD drive
The Radio Entry without CD player enables radio
reception (AM, FM) as well as Bluetooth® telephony
and audio streaming. In addition to a Bluetooth®
interface, the hands-free system also includes a
microphone in the overhead control panel for the inte-
rior lights. The system also includes intelligent solu-
tions such as an integrated three-line LCD display, an
AUX interface and a USB interface to allow additional
external devices to be connected.
The USB interface can also be used to access the
12 volt on-board electrical system e.g. to charge the
battery of a music player. An AM/FM antenna and 4 or
6 speakers (2 tweeters, 2 bass speakers, 2 rear
speakers in passenger van) are included.
The Radio Entry (Renault) with CD drive also allows
(track) information to be displayed on the three-line
display. Furthermore, an external display can be used
(to display time, outside temperature and radio infor-
mation) as well as an operating unit under the steering
wheel.

• Tone setting (bass, treble, fader, balance)
• Separate volume adjustment for radio, telephone
and traffic information service
• Speed-dependent volume control, gradual increase
as of 20 km/h
• 4 × 25 watt power output
• Two front broadband speakers included in package
• FM, MW, LW and SW frequency bands with 10
station presets per frequency band
• Dual tuner and traffic information service decoder
(TP/TA)
• Manual station tuning, automatic station search,
automatic storage of stations currently available
• Full text station display (RDS - Radio Data System)
• SCAN function (each station is played for approx.
8 seconds)
