When cooking rinse-free rice, the rice crust may be darker.
△ It is possible to select the Keep Warm function, but
doing so will adversely affect the taste of the rice, so
please warm this rice.
Adding vegetables and meat to your rice
Total ingredient amount should be less than 70 g for each cup of
rice.
Mix flavorings in well, and place the ingredients on top of the rice.
(Mix the flavorings in, but do not mix the ingredients in. Otherwise
the rice may not cook properly.)
Be sure to follow the guidelines for the maximum amount of rice
that can be cooked with ingredients.

* Add the ingredients after you have added the correct amount of
water for cooking. Otherwise, the rice will be hard.
* If you cook pilafs or other foods that have less water and
more oil, or if you add too much soy sauce or mirin, the
inner pan may be burned or otherwise damaged.
Cooking Sweet rice
After rinsing the rice, soak it for about 30 minutes, and
level the rice so that it doesn't stick up above the water
level. (If you soak it for less time, the rice will be firmer
when cooked, and for more time, it will be softer.)
When cooking germinated brown rice
When cooking germinated brown rice or germinated brown
rice mixed with white rice, select White Rice/Plain.

Features
Select when cooking white rice (short grain). (This is the
standard setting.) In addition, select heat level to determine the
amount of rice crust.
Select when cooking white rice (long grain).
Select when cooking rinse-free rice. In addition, select heat
level to determine the amount of rice crust.
Select to cook white rice faster. Because the cooking time is
shorter than when selecting Plain, the cooked rice will be firm.
Select when cooking rice for use in sushi.
Select when cooking mixed rice that uses soy sauce as a
flavoring. The amount of flavoring used will determine the
thickness of the rice crust.
Select when cooking rice with beans that uses salt as a
seasoning. The amount of flavoring used will determine the
thickness of the rice crust.
Select when cooking brown rice or other grains

Select to cook soft, easy-to-eat brown rice.
(The cooking time will be longer than with Brown Rice.)
Select when cooking sweet rice.
Caution
Be sure to use the Multi-cook menu. If you use the
menus for cooking rice, the inner pan may be burned or
otherwise damaged.
When Mixing White rice with Brown rice or Multigrain
When there is more brown rice than white rice, select
Other Grains/Brown Rice.
When the amount of white rice equals the amount of brown
rice, or there is more white rice, select White Rice/Plain. (Soak
the brown rice only for an extra 1-2 hours before cooking.)
Select [Other Grains/Multigrain] when the proportion of mixed
grain rice and white rice are equal, or when there is more white
rice than mixed grain rice. (Soak the mixed grain rice for 1-2
hours before cooking.)
When cooking Haiga (rice with embryo buds)
When cooking rice with embryo buds, cook less than the
maximum possible amount. (If you cook the maximum
amount, the rice cooker may boil over.)
Select White Rice/Plain.
When cooking white rice mixed with other grains
The total amount of rice and grains mixed should not exceed
5.5 cups for the1.0L model and 8 cups for the 1.44L model.
Place the mixed grains on top of the white rice to cook. If
you mix them beforehand, they will not cook properly.
When cooking brown rice mixed with other grains
Be sure to select Other Grains/Brown Rice.
The total amount of rice and grains mixed should not exceed
3.5 cups for the1.0L model and 5 cups for the 1.44L model.
When cooking long-grain rice
Be sure to select White Rice/Long-grain when cooking
long-grain rice. If you select other menu options, the rice
cooker may boil over.
You can also add ingredients when cooking using White
Rice/Long-grain.

Steaming stage, the time before

When Keep Warm No is selected
In order to prevent condensation forming on the inner lid
and dripping on the cooked rice, the electricity will remain
on for a while. After a maximum of 3 hours, or when
the rice reaches a temperature of 70ºC, the electricity
will be cut off. After this, the rice will become glue-like
or the condensation will drip onto the rice, making it
overly sticky, so be sure to consume the rice as soon as
possible.
