Replacing The Shipping Bracket - Lenovo NeXtScale n1200 Installation And Service Manual

To remove the shipping bracket, complete the following steps:
Step 1. Read the safety information that begins on "Safety" on page iii and "Installation guidelines" on page
25.
Step 2. Turn off the compute node and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external
cables.
Step 3. Remove the rear support brackets:
a. Remove the four M5 hex head screws on the lower support bracket and remove the lower
support bracket.
b. Slide the chassis away from the rack rails.
c. Remove the three M5 hex head screws on either left or right of the support bracket from the
screw holes on the rack.
d. Remove the support bracket from the rack.
e. Repeat steps c and d for another side of the support bracket.

Replacing the shipping bracket

Use this information to install the shipping bracket.
To install the shipping bracket, complete the following steps:
Note: If you plan to transport the rack to another location, you must install the support brackets that come
with the chassis.
