System Maintenance Switch

The system maintenance switch (SW1) is a six-position switch that is used for system
configuration. The default setting for all six positions is off. For the proper system
maintenance switch settings, refer to the labels attached to the inside of the server access
panel or refer to Table 4-11.

iLO Security enable indicator
Configuration lock indicator
Rack mount indicator
Enable diskette boot
indicator
Password disable indicator
Invalidate configuration
indicator
LED Indicators and Switches
On/Off Function
Off = iLO security enabled.
On = iLO security disabled
Off = System configuration can be changed.
On = System configuration is locked and cannot
be changed.
Off = System is in a tower configuration.
On = System is in a rack-mounted configuration.
Off = Booting from diskette is controlled by
RBSU.
On = Booting from diskette is enabled and
RBSU setting is overridden.
Off = Power-on password works normally.
On = Power-on password is disabled.
Off = No function is available.
On = ROM treats system configuration as
invalid.
