Introduction

AMIBIOS has been integrated into many motherboards for over a decade. This chap-

ter introduces how to configure BIOS for ITA-1711 series.With the AMIBIOS Setup

program, you can modify BIOS settings and control the special features of your com-

puter. The Setup program uses a number of menus for making changes and turning

the special features on or off. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the ITA-

1711 setup screens.

AMI's BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to modify the basic

system configuration. This type of information is stored in battery-backed up CMOS

so it retains the Setup information when the power is turned off.
