5.16 Cleaning the fuel screen
Danger
Fire hazard!
When working on the fuel system do not use
open fire, do not smoke and do not spill any fu-
el.
Clean the fuel screen filter only when the en-
gine is cold.

Health hazard!
Do not inhale any fuel fumes.
Environment
Catch running out fuel and dispose of environ-
mentally.

Disconnect fuel hose (1) (Fig. 53) from fuel

cock (2). Open the fuel cock, drain off fuel.
Unscrew fuel valve (2).

Unscrew the fuel screen (Fig. 54) and clean it

with gasoline.
Check the condition of the screen grid (holes),

replace if necessary.
