Disassembling the Keyboard Assembly

18-1.
Remove the lower case assembly. (See procedure 1.)
18-2.
Remove the keyboard assembly. (See procedure 13.)

18-3. EMKSA Circuit Board

(Time required: About 4 minutes):
Remove the two (2) screws marked [30]. The EMKSA
circuit board can then be removed. (Fig. 12)

Be sure to make a correct match when
connecting the EMKSA (CN1) and DM (CN13) for
PSR-1500, or when connecting the EMKSA (CN1)
and DM2-E (CN16) for PSR-3000. Connecting the
connectors in the wrong way may cause damage
to the EMKSA circuit board.

18-4. MK-L Circuit Board, MK-H Circuit Board

(Time required: About 5 minutes):
Remove the MK-L and MK-H circuit board while
pressing the fifteen (15) hooks A inward, and then remove
the rubber contact. (Fig. 13)
18-5. Rubber Contact:
Remove the rubber contact. (Fig. 13) (Photo 2)
18-6. White and Black Keys:
18-6-1. Remove the twenty-one (21) screws marked [140], then
remove the black keys from the lower notes. (Fig. 14)
18-6-2. Remove the white keys DFA and C'. (Fig. 14)
18-6-3. Remove the while keys GEGB from the higher notes.

Lift the keys from the front and slide them
towards you. The keys can then be removed form
the assembly.
