TEST PROGRAM

If you execute the test No. 88, Factory Set, data on Internet settings may be lost.

Preparation
1) PA-300 (AC adaptor) is used.
2) Measuring instruments: frequency counter, level meter (with JIS-C filter)
Note: Connect a stereo plug to the [PHONES] jack at 33ohms.
3) Jigs: foot switch (FC-4), foot volume (FC-7), MIDI cable, USB cable, floppy disk, microphone (PSR-3000 only)

How to enter the Test Program

While pressing the [C2#], [F2] and [G2#] keys, turn the [STANDBY/ON] switch on.

Proceeding through the Test Program

1) When the test program is activated, the sign "TEST" is indicated on the LCD display.
The test program automatically performs RAM BACKUP check when entering test mode.
2) Select the test program item to be executed by pressing the [TEMPO –] or [TEMPO+] button, or using the [DATA ENTRY] dial.
3) Press the [START/STOP] button to execute testing.
When the test result is OK, press the [START/STOP] button to return to the test item selection screen.
Proceed to the next test by pressing the [TEMPO –] or [TEMPO+] button, or using the [DATA ENTRY] dial.
When the test results is OK, an asterisk (
When the test result is NG, press the [DEMO] button or the lowest (leftmost) white key on the keyboard to return to the test item
selection screen and then turn off the [STANDBY/ON] switch to end the test program.

Checks ROM connected to CPU bus. (simple check)
Confirm that "ROM Check 1 OK" is displayed on LCD.
Checks RAM connected to CPU bus. (simple check)
Confirm that "RAM Check1 OK" is displayed on LCD.
Checks flash memory connected to CPU bus. (simple check)
Confirm that "Flash Check 1 OK" is displayed on LCD.
Check takes about 15 seconds.
Checks WAVE ROM connected to TG1 bus. (simple check)
Confirm that "Wave ROM Check OK" is displayed on LCD.
Checks Effect RAM. Confirm that "Effect Check TG1 OK" is displayed on LCD.
Checks TG1.
The test program sequentially outputs the sine wave by changing the tone of the sound source
from the low keys (from C2 to G4).
Check the sound by hearing that there is not noise or abnormal sound.
Checks PITCH.
Pitch Accuracy Check: Connect the frequency counter to L or R of [PHONE] jack.
When the test is performed, sound is produced with 441.4±0.2Hz sine wave, PAN=center.
