appreciate that sometimes difficulties may arise and the following table summarises some common problems.

Possible cause
No power to unit
Volume control at Minimum
Headphones connected to
Headphone socket
Aerial not extended
Outside broadcast area
Temporary memory problem
Disc is inserted upside-down
Disc is dirty
Disc is scratched
Disc is seriously warped.
Moisture has formed inside the CD deck
Disc is dirty
Disc is scratched
Batteries are weak
Obstacles are in the path between the
remote control and system
Interference from strong light (e.g. direct
sunlight, fluorescent lighting).
Too far from Remote sensor
Check AC supply is
Connected and switched on
Check the unit is switched on

Use the signal meter on the unit to check
for signal
