TROUBLESHOOTING

7.1.
If troubleshooting does not solve
the problem, contact your dealer or the
manufacturer directly. Use only original
parts approved by the manufacturer,
otherwise a hazard risk arises.
THE ENGINE STALLS, IS DIFFICULT TO START OR
DOES NOT START - The fuel does not arrive at
the carburetor
Possible causes;
1. Fuel filter is blocked.
2. Fuel supply blocked.
3. Carburetor fault
Possible corrective actions;
1. Clean or replace.
2. Clean or replace.
3. Seek advice from your dealer.
THE ENGINE STALLS, IS DIFFICULT TO START OR
DOES NOT START - Fuel at the cylinder
Possible causes;
1. Carburetor - The fuel does not arrive at the
cylinder.
2. The fuel mixture is too rich.
Possible corrective actions;
1. Seek advice from your dealer.
2. Open the throttle valve, clean or replace the
air filter. Adjust the carburetor. Ask your
distributor for advice.
THE ENGINE STALLS, IS DIFFICULT TO START OR
DOES NOT START - Spark at the spark plug
electrodes, there is no spark.
Possible causes;
1. Switch is at OFF position.
2. Electrical wiring fault.
3. Switch locked.
Possible corrective actions;
1. Move switch to ON position.
2. Ask your distributor for advice.

THE ENGINE STALLS, IS DIFFICULT TO START OR
DOES NOT START - Spark at the spark plug,
there is no spark.
Possible causes;
1. Incorrect spark plug gap.
2. Electrode contaminated.
3. Electrode wet with fuel.
4. Defective spark plug.
Possible corrective actions;
1. Adjust gap to 0.6 mm to 0.7 mm.
2. Clean spark plug.
3. Dry spark plug allow excess fuel to
evaporate.
4. Replace spark plug.
THE ENGINE TURNS, BUT STALLS OR DOES NOT
ACCELERATE CORRECTLY
Possible causes;
1. Poor air supply.
2. Dirty fuel.
3. Fuel vent blocked.
4. Dirty or worn spark plug.
5. Carburetor.
6. Cooling.
7. Spark suppressor cracked, contaminated or
perforated.
Possible corrective actions;
1. Check, clean or replace air filter.
2. Dirt or residue in fuel, flush and replace with
fresh fuel.
3. Clear blockage.
4. Clean, adjust or replace.
5. Adjust.
6. Clean machine cooling fins.
7. Replace.
THE ENGINE WILL NOT START
Possible causes;
1. If all previous troubleshooting does not
help.
Possible corrective actions;
1. Contact your dealer for advice.
