Temperaturalarm
(Temperature alarm)
A temperature alarm is indicated by a sig-
nal tone on the smoke alarm device and
is recorded in the memory of the smoke
alarm device (see operating manual for
the smoke alarm device).
Modulalarm (eingeschränkt)
(Module alarm (limited))
A module alarm (limited) is triggered
when a radio smoke alarm device receives
a smoke alarm transmitted by another ra-
dio smoke alarm device.
When a standalone device, i.e. a smoke
alarm device without radio function, is
read out, the value "0" is shown for this
event.
Testkeyevent (Test key event)
This event records how many times the
Test/Stop button was pressed on a smoke
alarm device.

5.6 Malfunctions
The RWM MC cannot be switched on
If you are not able to switch on the
RWM MC by pressing the Start button
(see chapter 5.1 "Switch on the RWM MC"
on page 31), proceed as follows:
(1) Press and hold the Start button
until a signal tone is heard
(2) If the device cannot be switched on,
replace the batteries (see chapter 4.1
"Insert batteries" on page 30)
(3) Switch on the RWM MC again
(see chapter 5.1 "Switch on the
RWM MC" on page 31)
(4) If necessary, send in the faulty
device to your retailer
f Observe chapter 6 "Packaging, trans-
port and storage" on page 38
The smoke alarm device is not
connected or faulty
If a smoke alarm device is not connected
with the RWM MC or is faulty, the message
"FEHLER Verbindung fehlgeschlagen Kabel
prüfen ansonsten einschicken" (ERROR
connection failed check cable otherwise
send in) will appear. Proceed as follows:
(1) Check the connection between the
RWM MC and the smoke alarm device
f If applicable, connect the RWM MC
to the smoke alarm device
(see chapter 5.2 "Connect the
RWM MC to the smoke alarm
device" on page 31)
(2) Check whether the smoke alarm
device to be tested is switched on
and operates
f Switch on the smoke alarm device
(see operating manual for the
smoke alarm device)
f Press the Test/Stop button on the
smoke alarm device (see operating
manual for the smoke alarm device)

If the smoke alarm device does not emit a
test tone, the smoke alarm device is faulty
and must be replaced.
f Replace the smoke alarm device
(see operating manual for the
smoke alarm device)
f Repeat the readout procedure (see
chapter 5.3 "Reading out the smoke
alarm device" on page 32)
If the smoke alarm device emits a test
tone, the readout procedure must be
repeated.
f Repeat the readout procedure (see

5.7 Switch off the RWM MC
Switch off the RWM MC as follows:
f Press and hold the Start button for
3 seconds
or
f Wait for 10 seconds until the de-
vice switches itself off automatically
(see chapter "Energy-saving mode"
on page 30)
