The message "Verschmutzt"
(Contaminated) only appears
on smoke alarm devices where
the chamber value was adjusted
by 10 digits (figures) and/or the
smoke alarm device has generated
at least one contamination alarm.
(1) Call up the readout protocol with
"Weiter" (Continue) by pressing
the Start button
5 The events recorded by the smoke
alarm device (see chapter 5.5
"Events" on page 35) and their
numbers are displayed.
(2) Terminate the readout procedure
with "Schließen" (Close) by pressing
the Start button
(3) Remove the adapter cable from the
smoke alarm device
5 The readout procedure can now be
performed on other smoke alarm
devices.

5.4 Kammerwert (Chamber value)
The displayed smoke chamber value
shows the ratio of the currently measu-
red sensitivity (value IN FRONT OF the
brackets) of the readout electronics to
the original value (value IN the brackets)
of the sensitivity when the smoke alarm
device was manufactured and program-
med. When the change in the smoke
chamber value is greater than 10 digits
(figures) and/or a contamination alarm
was measured by the smoke alarm device,
it is strongly recommended to replace the
smoke alarm device.

5.5 Events

A contamination alarm is recorded and
emitted by a smoke alarm device (see
operating manual for the smoke alarm
device).
Contamination alarms occur when the
chamber value must be adjusted by sev-
eral digits (figures) using the integrated
electronics.

The smoke alarm device can compensate
for this change up to a certain degree
through self-calibration.
Batteriealarm (Battery alarm)
A battery alarm is indicated by a signal
tone on the smoke alarm device when
its battery is weak and is recorded in the
memory of the smoke alarm device (see
operating manual for the smoke alarm
device).
Rauchalarm (Smoke alarm)
A smoke alarm is indicated by a signal
tone on the smoke alarm device and is
recorded in the memory of the smoke
alarm device (see operating manual for
the smoke alarm device).
