Before Using the Remote Scan Function

In order to use this product as a network scanner, you must install the scanner
driver.
IMPORTANT
The Color Network ScanGear is available only for the Windows operating systems.

Installing the Scanner Driver

The scanner driver is a driver for using digital multi-purpose printers on a network
as scanners. Settings relating to scanning are made using the scanner driver.
The scanner driver is installed from the same UFRII LT User Software CD-ROM as
the printer driver. The contents of the CD-ROM are as follows.
UFRII LT User Software
■ Color Network ScanGear
The Color Network ScanGear driver is called from TWAIN-compliant applications.
Originals are scanned using the driver.
Examples of applications that support TWAIN are as follows:

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Acrobat
•
Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc. in Office 2000 or later
