The circuit(s) or outlet(s) that will be used with this
Blower/Vac should be equipped with Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter (GFCI) protection. Receptacles with built-in
GFCI protection should be used as an added safety mea-
sure.
A nameplate on the Blower/Vac indicates the voltage
used. Do not connect the blower to an AC power supply
that differs from this voltage.
Inspect all extension cords and the Blower/Vac's power
cord on a regular basis. Look closely for deterioration,
cuts, or cracks in the insulation. Inspect the connections
for damage. Repair or replace the extension cord or the
power cored if any defects are found.
Avoid dangerous environments. Do not operate the
Blower/Vac in damp or wet conditions. Moisture is a
shock hazard.
Do not use the Blower/Vac in the rain.
Do not handle the plug or the Blower/Vac with wet hands.
WHILE OPERATING
Wear safety glasses or goggles that meet ANSI Z87.1-
1989 standards. Wear ear/hearing protection when oper-
ating this Blower/Vac. Wear a face mask or a dust mask
when operating the Blower/Vac in a dusty environment.
Wearing long sleeves is recommended.
Wear heavy, long pants, boots, and gloves. Do not wear
loose clothing, jewellery, short pants, or sandals, and do
not go barefoot. Tie back loose hair.
Avoid accidental start-ups. Do not carry a Blower/Vac
that is plugged in with a finger on the trigger switch. Verify
that the switch is in the OFF position when plugging in the
Blower/Vac.
If the motor is running, do not set the Blower/Vac down on
any surface except a clean, hard area. Debris such as
gravel, sand, dust, grass, etc., could be picked up by the
air intake and thrown out through the discharge opening,
which could damage the Blower/Vac or property, or
cause serious injury to bystanders or the operator.
Use the right tool for the job to be done. Use this
Blower/Vac only for its intended purpose.
Do not overreach. Always keep proper footing and
balance. Do not operate from an unstable surface such
as a ladder, a tree, a slope, or a rooftop.
Do not abuse the power cord. Do not pull or carry the
Blower/Vac by the cord, use the cord as a handle, close
a door on the cord, or pull the cord around sharp edges
or corners. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces, oil,
and sharp edges.
Do not unplug the Blower/Vac by pulling on the cord. To
unplug the Blower/Vac, grasp the plug, not the cord.
Stay alert, and use common sense. In order to prevent
injury to the operator and to others, do not operate this
Blower/Vac when fatigued.
Do not operate the Blower/Vac while under the influence
of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
Do not leave the Blower/Vac plugged in when it is not in
use, while changing attachments, or when it is being
serviced.
RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
Do not put any object into any of the openings. Do not
use this Blower/Vac if any of the air openings are
blocked. Keep the air openings free of dirt, debris, and
anything that may reduce the air flow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the
body away from openings and moving parts.
When servicing this blower, only use replacement parts
that are identical to those that are listed in this manual.
Call the Toll-Free Helpline (1-866-523-5218) for infor-
mation. The use of unauthorized parts, accessories, or
attachments may lead to serious injury or damage to the
product, and will void the warranty.
Do not force the Blower/Vac. It will do the job better and
with less likelihood of injury when it is used at the rate
that it was designed to work at.
Do not use the Blower/Vac without the Blower/Vac tube
and snap-on bag attached.
• Turn off all controls before unplugging the Blower/Vac.
• Unplug the Blower/Vac before attempting to install or
remove the Blower/Vac tube or vacuum bag. Verify that
the blades of the impeller are stopped. Avoid any
contact with rotating blades.
WHEN USING THE TOOL AS A BLOWER
Do not point the Blower/Vac in the direction of people or
pets, or in the direction of windows. Use extra caution
when blowing debris near solid objects such as trees,
automobiles, and walls.
WHEN USING THE TOOL AS A VACUUM
Avoid situations that could cause the snap-on bag to catch
fire. Do not operate the Blower/Vac near an open flame.
Do not vacuum warm ashes from a fireplace, barbecue
pit, brush pile, etc. Do not vacuum discarded cigars or
cigarettes unless the cinders are completely cool.
This Blower/Vac is designed to pick up dry material such
as leaves, grass, small twigs, and bits of paper. Do not
attempt to vacuum wet debris and/or standing water.
Doing so may result in damage to the the Blower/Vac. In
order to avoid severe damage to the impeller, do not
vacuum metal, broken glass, etc.
OTHER SAFETY WARNINGS
Be sure to secure the the Blower/Vac while transporting.
Store the the Blower/Vac in a high, dry, locked area, out
of the reach of children, in order to prevent unauthor-
ized use or damage.
Do not douse or squirt the the Blower /Vac with water or
any other liquid. Keep the handles dry, clean, and free
of debris. Clean the the Blower/Vac after each use. See
the Cleaning and Storage instructions.
Keep this Owner's Manual in a safe place for future
reference. Refer to these instructions often, and use
them to instruct other users. If the blower is used by
someone else, verify that these instructions are read
carefully by the operator.
