Information Provided
The PING option provides the means for measuring
single packet network delays.
The following IP addresses may be "pinged":
PHONE
GATEWAY
UPDATE SERVER
SIP PROXY SERVER
NTP SERVER
DHCP SERVER
SIP REGISTRAR SERVER
OTHER*
*A valid address must also be entered.
There are three outcomes as the result of a ping:
IP ADDRESS NOT SET
In this case enter the appropriate IP address, using the
INSTL/IP Menu.
or
PING4 FAILED
PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE
In this case, check Layer 2 802.1Q and other
network settings.
or
PING4 SUCCESSFUL
PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE
