6 MAINTENANCE

To maintain maximum functionality and effi-
ciency, and to comply with applicable legisla-
tion, have the boiler serviced at regular inter-
vals.
The frequency at which servicing should be
performed depends on installation and oper-
ating conditions. The boiler should neverthe-
less be inspected by specialist personnel
from the manufacturer's Technical Assistance
Service at least once a year.
Always switch the boiler off if any work or
servicing has to be done on other equipment
installed near the flue gas vent pipes and/or
flues and associated accessories. On com-
pletion of work, have the efficiency of the flue
checked by qualified personnel.
b
Switch the boiler off at its control panel
and at the mains power switch, and turn
the gas supply off by closing the gas
shut-off cock before performing any
cleaning or maintenance on the boiler.
