Introduction
ADSL technology is asymmetric. It allows more downstream
bandwidth from central office to customer site than upstream.
Asymmetry, combined with always-on access (eliminating the
call setup), makes ADSL ideal for internet/intranet surfing,
video-on-demand, and remote LAN access. These application
users can download much more information than they upload.
