MW5 Portable Receiver
① Power Switch
Turns the portable receiver on and off.
② TA3M Jack.
For audio out.
③ 3.5 mm Headphone Jack
For monitoring audio.
④ Scan Button
Press the scan button to find the next available channel. Press and hold for two
seconds to find the group with the most available channels.
⑤ IR Window
For transferring RF settings and name to a transmitter, or copying the MTx list to
another receiver.
⑥ Battery Compartment
Install 2 AA batteries or a Shure SB900 rechargeable battery. Open by pressing
the latches on both sides and pulling outward.
⑦ Menu Buttons
Use in conjunction with the ▼▲ buttons to access the configuration menus.
⑧ ▼▲ Buttons
Use to scroll through menus, change settings, or select transmitters in MTx mode.
Can be assigned to control headphone or camera output volumes.
⑨ LCD Screen
Displays current settings and menus.
⑩ Tri-Color Battery LED
Illuminates green, amber, or red to indicate battery power. When red, change
batteries immediately.
⑪ Blue RF LED
Indicates the portable receiver is receiving a signal from the transmitter.
⑫ Detachable Antennas (2)
SMA Connectors (2)
⑬ Power Through Contacts
For powering the receiver when inserted into the Shure AFP522DC camera
mount. The receiver automatically switches to internal power when removed from
the mount or external power is lost.
⑭ Removable AA Adapter
Remove to use with a Shure SB900 rechargeable battery.
Note: To remove adapter, open door and slide adapter out. To reinstall, press the adapter
into place—there is an audible click when seated.
