PROBABLE CAUSE
Outdoor fan blocked.
-Run capacitor of outdoor
fan motor faulty.
-Windings of outdoor fan are
shorted.
- Overload safety device on
compressor is cut out (low
voltage or high temperature)
- Compressor run capacitor
faulty.
- Compressor windings are
shorted.
-Indoor fan motor is blocked
or turns slowly.
-indoor fan run capacitor
faulty.
- motor windings are shorted.
Lack of refrigerant (will
accompanied by whistling
noise) cause ice formation
on indoor unit coil in cooling
mode.
Drain tube or spout of drain
pan clogged.
Water drain outlet is clogged.
-Faulty outdoor thermistor.
-Faulty control cable.
- Outdoor temperature is too
low (below -2°C)
-Outdoor unit air outlet is
blocked.

CONTENT
CORRECTIVE ACTION
- Remove obstructions.
- Replace capacitor.
-Replace motor.
- Check for proper voltage, switch off
power and try again after one hour.
- Replace compressor capacitor.
- Replace compressor.
- Check voltage, repair wiring if
necessary.
-Check fan wheel if it is tight enough
on motor shaft, tighten if necessary.
-Replace indoor fan motor.
-Charge the unit after localizing leak.
-Disassemble plastic drain tube from
spout of indoor unit drain pan.
-Open outdoor unit cover clean out
water outlet clean the base inside
througly.
-Replace thermistor.
- Repair control cable.
- Shut unit off, outdoor temp. is below
design conditions and cannot function
properly.
-Remove obstructions.
