7. Check if the cutting edge angle is correct and the cutting edge is sharpened
properly. Repeat the sharpening process if necessary. Afterwards switch
off the motor unit with the ON/OFF switch in direction O.
Hints
 The tool may become very hot during sharpening/grinding. This may lead
to a change in the material properties. Therefore, allow the tool to cool
down during machining.
 After sharpening, grind the cutting edge using an oil stone or the like.
 If the sharpening results are poor, check the grinding stone for wear and
replace it if necessary.

Replacing the Grinding Stone

1. Loosen the three screws which a suitable cross slot screwdriver and
remove the cover.
2. Hold the spindle lock button (B1) firmly and loosen the hex nut of the
grinding stone holder with a 14 mm spanner. Turn the spanner counter
clockwise.
3. Attach the new grinding stone in reverse order.
Replacement Grinding Stone
A replacement grinding stone can be ordered from Westfalia under der article
no. 84 77 40.
