2. Take out the grinding stone together with the
holder.
3. Loosen the grinding stone holder with a 22 mm
spanner. Note LEFT-HAND THREAD! Turn clock-
wise for loosening!
4. Mount the new grinding stone with the flattened
edge facing downwards on the holder and re-insert
the metal washer.
5. Re-tighten the threaded connection. Note LEFT-
HAND THREAD! For tightening turn counter
clockwise!
6. Place the grinding stone back into the motor unit.
Turn the grinding stone until it fits into place.
Otherwise the cover cannot be screwed on the
housing. Re-tighten the cover on the housing.
Do not clamp the grinding stone in a vice or similar.
The grinding stone might break. Wear gloves and
hold the grinding stone in your hand.
Replacement Grinding Stone
A replacement grinding stone for sharpening drill bits can be ordered from
Westfalia under der article no. 84 77 38.

Using as Knife Sharpener

1. Install the attachment for sharpening
knives and scissors on the motor
unit.
2. Use the ON/OFF switch (A1) to
switch on the unit.
3. Hold the knife as shown in the
picture by its handle. As soon as the
cutting edge touches the grinding
stone, start pulling the knife towards
you until it is fully pulled out of the
knife notch. Do not apply too much pressure against the grinding stone
when pulling out the knife.
