Light Metering Mode

Light Metering Mode
The camcorder measures light in the scene in order to set the optimal exposure settings. Depending on the
scene, you may want to change the measurement method. This function is available when the shooting mode is

Operating modes:
1 Touch [FUNC.] and then touch ¬ [Metering Mode] (in

2 Select the desired option and then touch [X].
Options (for clips)
[¬ Standard]:
Averages the light metered from the entire screen, giving more weight to the subject in the center.

Spotlight]:
Use this option when recording a scene in which only a certain part of the picture is lit, for example,
when the subject is lit by a spotlight.

Backlight]:
Suitable when recording backlit scenes.
