Shooting Modes

Operating modes:
Setting the Shooting Modes
This camcorder offers various shooting modes to help bring
your creative intent to life. After you select a mode, you can
adjust related settings, such as the shutter speed, using the
control dial. You can also use the FUNC. menu or Browser
Remote application.
1 While holding down the shooting mode dial button,
turn the dial to the desired shooting mode.
• The available shooting modes are explained in the
sections in the following few pages.
• Depending on the shooting mode, you may be able to
adjust the aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed or gain.
2 Turn the control dial to adjust the setting, if available.
Manual Exposure (n)
With this mode, you have full access to menus, settings and other functions. When shooting, you can use the
control dial to adjust the aperture, shutter speed or ISO speed/gain*. This mode gives you the most freedom
over shooting settings. First, assign the function that will be adjusted by the control dial.
* The gain can be adjusted only for clips, not photos.
1 Set the shooting mode dial to n.
2 Press the MENU button.
3 Open the [Control Dial] submenu.

4 Select the desired function to assign to the control dial.
5 Touch [X].
• The current value will be highlighted in orange.
• During
mode, when you select [
whether to have control over the ISO speed or gain with the procedure below before touching [X].
6 Turn the control dial to select the desired value.
• You can also select the desired value using the FUNC. menu or Browser Remote application (A 54).
