Check or maintenance job
Check for looseness. Repair or
replace the wheel sensor if nec-
essary.
Check the components for loose-
ness, distortion, and bends.
Refer to "CHECKING THE
FRONT WHEEL" on page 4-14.
Check the interior of the sensor
housing and the surface of the
sensor rotor for foreign material,
such as metal particles. Clean the
sensor housing and sensor rotor
if necessary.
Refer to "MAINTENANCE OF

AND SENSOR ROTOR" on page
4-15.
Check the surface of the sensor
rotor for damage. If there is visible
damage, replace the sensor rotor.

Replace the hydraulic unit assem-
bly.

Reinstatement
confirmation
method
• Turn the main
switch to "ON"
and check
that the ABS
warning light
comes on for
2 seconds,
then goes off.
• Perform a trial
run at a con-
stant speed of
30 km/h and
check that the
ABS warning
light does not
come on.
