A. Rear wheel sensor system malfunction
Item/components and
probable cause
1 Connection of rear wheel
sensor (meter) coupler
Check the connection of the
coupler is secure.
Remove the coupler, and
check each pin (for bending,
wear, or locking).
2 Connection of wire harness
ECU coupler
Check the connection of the
coupler is secure.
Remove the coupler, and
check each pin (for bending,
wear, or locking).
3 Continuity of wire harness
4 Rear wheel sensor malfunc-
tion
FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Check or maintenance job
Poor connection → Connect it
securely, or repair/replace the
wire harness.
Poor connection → Connect it
securely, or repair/replace the
wire harness.
Open or short circuit →
Replace the wire harness.
White/red–White/red
White–White
Blue/white–Blue/white
White/yellow–White/yellow
Sensor inspection procedure
Refer to "MAINTENANCE OF
THE REAR WHEEL SEN-
SOR AND SENSOR ROTOR"
on page 4-25.
Replace if defective.
