ANCHOR FITTING
Lift the head restraint (see page
162
), then route the tether strap
through the legs of the head
restraint and over the seat-back,
making sure the strap is not twisted.
Attach the attaching clip to the
anchor fitting, then tighten the strap
as instructed by the child restraint
system maker.

Push and pull the child restraint
system forward and from side-to-
side to verify that it is secure.
The design and suitability of the
child restraint systems must be
carefully checked with the child
restraint system manufacturer
concerned and the seller of those
systems. If you are not sure, consult
your dealer before purchasing this
type of child restraint system.
Installing a Child Restraint
System with a Lap/Shoulder Belt
When not using the lower
anchorages system, all child
restraint systems must be secured to
the vehicle with the lap part of a lap/
shoulder belt.
