i-SHIFT (Automated
Manual Transmission)
System Indicator
Only on vehicles with i-SHIFT
This indicator normally comes on for
a few seconds when you turn the
ignition switch to the ON (II)
position. If it comes on at any other
time, or if it does not come on when
you turn the ignition switch to the
ON (II) position, there is a problem
with the i-SHIFT control system.
Avoid rapid acceleration, frequently
shifting, and driving at high speed,
and have the vehicle checked by
your dealer as soon as possible.
When this indicator comes on, you
will hear a beep as a reminder. You
will also see the symbol ''
this symbol with a ''CHECK
SYSTEM'' message on the multi-
information display (see page
This indicator also comes on while
driving if the clutch system is
overheating. It will go off when the
clutch system temperature comes
down. If this indicator goes off while
driving to your dealer, you can
continue driving normally. For more

button on the steering wheel to see
