Before attempting to upgrade the firmware, you must have the appropriate *.DST file for your DTV Transmitter and/or Receiver.  Check www.amx.com for the latest device firmware files. Upgrading Firmware on DTV Transmitters Access the Digital TV Configuration Manager (see the Digital TV Configuration Manager section on page 53).

All network connections should be 100m or less. DHCP Server TDS devices are delivered with DHCP set as default, this can be changed to static if required, but otherwise a DHCP server is required for managing and assigning IP’s to each unit.

Introduction This tech note briefly describes Satellite Low Noise Block down-converters (LNBs) and recommended methods for interfacing AMX DTV-TX02-DVB-S units. Introduction To Satellite LNBs An LNB is used to down convert high satellite frequencies down to an appropriate Intermediate Frequency (IF) for distributing over cable and being received by a suitable receiver.

LNB and not re-tuned regularly. FIG. 97 shows a typical recommended installation for the AMX DVB-S receiver. Various options are available, including alternative manufacturers for the satellite amplifier, and the active splitters shown could be replaced by passive alternatives if the number of receivers is small and the associated signal lose is acceptable.

An alternative to using a Quad Compatible Multiswitch for generating the DC Voltage and tone, is the ETL Model 2772-xx-E range that provides switchable LNB power and tone injection. This 19in rack system provides a more flexible system enabling the user to switch receivers between LNBs without changing the installation. AMX TDS (Television Delivery System)

The FEC should be entered as 7 (the default setting). If the frequency to be entered into the web pages is greater than 2150MHz, the Local Oscillator frequency would need to be changed from 9750MHz to 10600MHz, by injecting 22kHz tone. AMX TDS (Television Delivery System)
