WARNING
To prevent trapping the workpiece or fingers between the
table and the sanding disc adjust the sanding disc table to
a maximum of 1/16" from the sanding disc.
To adjust sanding disc table:
• Using a 4 mm hex wrench, loosen the sanding disc
guard adjustment screws (one on each side).
• Slide the sanding disc table in or out to adjust the
sanding disc table to a maximum of 1/16" from the
sanding disc.
• Place combination square on the table with the ruler
side against the sanding disc. The table should be 90°
to the sanding disc.
• If the table is not 90° to the sanding disc, loosen the
locking lever and tilt table up and down until it is 90°
to the sanding disc. Tighten locking lever securely.
Recheck adjustment using the combination square.
• For bevel sanding, loosen the locking lever and tilt table
up and down between 0 –45° to desired angle.

MOUNT THE SANDING BELT TABLE

Refer to Figure 4–8
• Remove the belt guard locking knob and then remove
the upper and side belt guard.
NOTE: The upper belt guard and belt guard locking
knob are shipped unassembled.

• Take apart the locking lever assembly (square headed
bolt, star washer, splined shaft, lever and screw with
spring).

• The screws to attach the lower belt guard are
assembled to the frame for shipping purposes, remove
these screws and attach the lower belt guard as shown.
• Slide the square headed bolt throught the frame and
place the star washer on the square headed bolt.

• Slide the sanding belt table into place with the adjusting
slot over the square head bolt.
• Thread the splined shaft onto the square head bolt.
• Slide the lever onto the splined shaft until it stops.
• Insert spring with screw into lever and tighten until
screw head extends above the lever.

• Tighten set screw. Adjust table before tightening the set
screw. See Adjust Sanding Belt Table.

• Assemble the upper and side belt guards and secure in
place with the belt guard locking knob. (Figure 4)
