INTRODUCTION

This user manual provides descriptions, specifications, and power-up instructions for the
OptEnet Set Top Ethernet Media Converter. Set Top Ethernet Media Converter is shown with
optional mounting bracket. Media Converter can be ordered for use in either singlemode or
multimode applications.

Admonishments

General Safety Precautions

Warning: To prevent electrical shock, never install in a wet location or during a lightning
storm. When installing or modifying telephone lines, disconnect lines at the network interface
before working with uninsulated lines or terminals.
