5. Using the scanner

5.1. Inserting the batteries

1. Open the battery compartment on the underside of the scanner.
2. Insert the AA Mignon LR6 (1.5V) batteries or rechargeable batteries with the same specification
in the battery compartment. The correct position of the batteries is shown next to the battery
compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment with the cover until it clicks into place.
4. Press the ON/OFF key to switch on the scanner.
Note:
• Explosion hazard! Always check correct polarity when inserting batteries.
Ensure that material strap is under battery inserted last. The material strap facilitates
removal of the batteries.
