5.4. Setting date and time

In order to be able to save scanned documents and photos with the correct scanning date, the date
and time must be set before starting the scanner for the first time.
1. Push the TIME SET key for about 3 seconds to switch to the date and time setting mode.
2. On the LCD display, "1XX" is shown as "XX" as a two-digit numerical value for the year. Press the
UP key or DOWN key to select the correct year.
3. Press the ENTER key to confirm the setting.
4. The following setting options are now shown in succession on the LCD display:
1 XX
Year
2 XX
Month
3 XX
Day
4 XX
Hour
5 XX
Minute
Change the respective values by pressing the keys UP or DOWN and confirm the setting by
pressing the ENTER key.
5. Once all values have been set, press the TIME SET key again. The setting is saved and the device
changes back to the scan mode.
Note:
• Where the scanner has contained no or empty batteries for a longer period, date and time
may be lost. Date and time should therefore be checked if the scanner has not been
used for some time and should be reset, where necessary.

5.5. Setting the file format

Choose if scanned documents shall be saved as JPG or PDF. Text documents should preferably be
saved as PDF, pictures as JPG.
Press the JPG/PDF button to choose the desired format. The corresponding symbol JPG or PDF will
appear in the display.
