AC40 Instructions for Use - US
Tone decay
This is a test to help identify the adaptation of the auditory system (Carhart, 1957). It involves measuring
the perceptual reduction in a continuous tone over time. This can indicate towards a cochlear or neural
cause of deafness.
Function Key
Description
Start the test
Stop a running test.
Only available if High Frequency is available (optional license) on the
instrument. Selects the HF phone connected to the separate HF connectors.
