Updating the base firmware
Enter the IP addresses/subnet mask:

Touch the ' next to the IP address/
subnet mask.
¤
Enter the IP address in the 4 fields at
the top of the display.
– If the fields are empty, the cursor is
in the left field. Once you have
entered three digits, the cursor
automatically moves to the next
field.
– If less than three digits are entered,
touch the next field to input the fol-
lowing part of the address.
– If a field is already full, touch the
field, delete the digits, enter that
part of the address. Leading zeros must not be entered in part of the address.

Confirm with è.

Starting a firmware update

Prerequisite:

The phone is connected to the Internet (i.e., connected to a router,

The phone is in idle status, i.e.: no calls are being made, there is no internal con-
nection, no handset has opened a menu on the base.
Starting the firmware update manually

In the Settings menu (
¤
Scroll to Firmware Update.
PIN and confirm with è.
If a new version of the base firmware is available, message New firmware available
- Update? is displayed.
¤
Press Yes to confirm.
Please note
u
The firmware update can take up to six minutes, depending on the quality of
your DSL connection.
u
During the update, the registered handsets temporarily lose their connec-
tion to the base.
