2, Locate the pilot adjustment
screw.It can be foundto the right
of the thermostat.
3. To adjust, use a blade-type
screwdriver.Turn pilot adjustment
screw until pilot is 1/4"high. Do
not reduce the flame to less than
1/4"or pilot outagemay occur. A
larger than recommendedpilot
flame may generate soot (carbon
black) on the bottom of your
cooktop.

CAUTION: Make sure the
OVEN CONTROL knob is in the
"OFF"
position before attempting
to light ;he pilot. If it is not, turn -
OVEN CONTROL to OFF and
wait one minute.
1. Open the lower broiler
compartment and pull the door
down flat. Put the broiler pan in the
lowestposition. Slide the drawer
back into the range so you can
reach to the back of the
compartment.
2. The tube running from front to
back at the top of the broiler
compartment is the burner. The
piJot is at the back of the
compartment, about one inch
below the burner. Light the pilot
with a match.
3. Light the pilot with a match. No
adjustmentsare required for natural
ga~.See pages 30 and 31for LP gas.

4. Turn the OVEN CONTROL
knob to a setting above200"F.The
pilot flame will increase in size and
impingeon the temperatureresponse
element. The ovenburner will light
in 30-60 seconds.
The oven burner will operate until
the set temperature is reached. The
ovenburner will continue to cycle
on and off as necessary to maintain
the ovenat the temperatureindicated
by the OVEN CONTROL knob.
