II. INSTRUMENTS
AND CONTROLS

INSTRUMENT PANEL

The instrument panel is shown in
Figures 30a and 30b; it depends on
the design version of your vehicle.
1 – light engineering control
module (see the section «Light engi-
neering control module and head-
light adjuster»).
2 – light alarm switch (See the
section «Light alarm switch»).
3 – driver's air bag module
includes an intergrated system
with castenets-like horn.
ATTENTION!
1. Sound signal is activated by
pressing the module top cover, in
the zone marked by dash-and-dot
line (Fig. 30a and 30b).
2. It is forbidden to activate
sound signal by stroke the mod-
ule cover!
3. To avoid the air bag module
cover breaking do not activate the
sound signal lower than recom-
mended zone, marked by dash-
and-dot line (Fig. 30a and 30b).
The correct operation with
sound signal will allow to prolong
air bag module life and to keep its
salable condition.

In case you ignore our recom-
mendation on sound signal cor-
rect activation the manufacture is
not responsible for further condi-
tion and operating characteris-
tics of your car air bag module.
4 – instrument cluster (See the
section «Instrument cluster»).
5 – wiper switch (See the section
«Wiper switch»).
6 – ignition starter switch (See
the section «Ignition starter switch»).
7 – hazard switch. To turn on
light alarm, press the switch button;
to turn off it, repress the switch but-
ton. When activating light alarm all
turn indicators work. Light alarm
warns that at the moment the vehicle
is a danger to other road users. Light
alarm operates in all positions of the
key in the ignition starter switch.
8 – rear window heating switch.
Rear window heater only works when
the key is inserted into the ignition
starter switch to position I. To switch
on heating press the switch button,
to switch off heating, repress the
switch button.
If turning the key in the ignition
starter switch to position 0 with the
heater on – heating function is off.
When restarting the engine – heating
function is restored without pressing
the switch button.
Check light indicator on the switch
button will light orange during opera-
tion of the heater.
In the design variant heating of
rear window and exterior mirrors is
switched at the same time.
In the design variant rear win-
dow heater and electric mirrors'
heaters are activated only when the
engine is running.
ATTENTION!
1. To avoid discharging the bat-
tery, do not switch on rear window
heating for a longer period of time
than is necessary.
2. When cleaning the inner sur-
face of the rear window do not
use sharp objects, as well as
cleaning agents containing abra-
sives as they can damage con-
ductors of the window.
9 – ventilation and heating sys-
tem control unit or climate system
control unit (in the design variant)

10 – side glove box lid.
