– Feed chute not properly closed - safety
cut-off switch actuated (motorstop)
– Blade disc blocked
– Locking device is not reset
Remedy:
– Allow machine to cool down (
– Check power cable and fuse
( 10.1)
– Check cable, plug, connector and
switch and replace if necessary (by
electrician) ( 10.1)
– Close feed chute properly and tighten
screws ( 11.2)
– Remove feed chute and remove
shredder deposits from the housing
(Important: disconnect the power cable)

– Reset locking device (
Fault:
Reduced shredding performance
Possible cause:
– Blunt blades
Remedy:
– Reverse, re-sharpen or replace
shredding blades (
Fault:
Shredding material is not drawn in
Possible cause:
– GE 260: Incorrect rotational direction of
blade disc
Remedy:
– GE 260: Change rotational direction of
blade disc ( 10.6)
