Part 2 provides you with essential information on how to set up your phone network and a provisioning server. You will find basic and advanced instructions on how to set up a provisioning server, how to deploy IP3062 phones from the provisioning server, and how to upgrade the firmware.
This chapter shows you several automated and manaul ways to configure IP3062 phones to operate in a LAN. Connecting your IP3062 phone to the LAN will initiate a start-up sequence. Note that only step 1 is required and automatic (except for phones on a WLAN). Steps 2, 3, and 4 are optional as all these settings can be manually configured on the phone.
A Virtual LAN (VLAN) can be used to seperate and assign higher priority to a voice VLAN as a way of minimizing latency. IP3062 supports Static method. The VLAN ID can be manually set from the phone web or menu interface or from a configuration file. To change this parameter, go to VLAN Menu.
You have the option to set the IP communication settings manually from the phone web or menu interface. Provisioning Server Discovery By default, the IP3062 Auto-Provisioning function is disabled. If you need to use IP3062 Auto-Provisioning function, please go to Chapter 4: Setting Up the Provisioning Server. Phone Network Menus You have the option of modifying the phone network configuration.
