(2) LD degration judgment of ATA/ATAPI DEBUG OSD (Subscreen 4)
[How to enter]
• While the User Operation screen is displayed, press the ESC , DISP then 2 keys, then the DIG/ANA

key three times, in that order.
[How to quit]
Press the ESC key.
• For correct measurement of items 1 to 4 indicated in the display below, leave the unit at room
[Notes]
temperature (25°C) for a while before turning it on, and do not load a disc.
• For RF measurement (item 5), it is recommended to use the Test disc (GGV1025).
As the RF level differs depending on the characteristics of the pickup from product to product, it cannot
be used for judging degradation of the LD. Use the RF level as a rough guide to know the difference

between before and after lens cleaning.
[Procedures] To update the value for each item, press the SEARCH key while subscreen 4 is displayed.
For details on each item and the conditions of updating the values, see Table 2 below.

actual RF level value with 2.5 V = 0xFFFF as the maximum value,
displayed in 4-digit hexadecimal)
Writer adjustment data for straight (non-HDD) model
(FFFF is diplayed when the writer is not adjusted.)
