CAUTION:
To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see
the computer.
 Removing the Display Assembly

2. Remove the computer battery (see
 
3. Open the display (see

4. Remove the palm rest assembly (see

Remove the Bluetooth™ card (see Removing the Bluetooth
 
6. Remove the WLAN card (see
 
7. Make note of the antenna cable routing and the tape placement.
 
8. Disconnect the following cables from their corresponding connectors on the system board:
 display cable — lift the tab and pull the cable away from the connector
l
 left I/O board cable — lift the tab and pull the cable away from the connector
l
 battery power cable — pull the cable away from the connector
l
 AC adapter power cable — pull the cable away from the connector
l
 right I/O board cable — lift the tab and pull the cable away from the connector
l
1 display cable connector
3 battery power cable connector
5 right I/O board cable connector
 
9. Remove the two screws that secure the display assembly to the computer base.
