The free throttle switch can only be used when the control
lever is in the neutral position.
During operation the digital electronic control-active indica-
tor changes from continuously lit to blinking. When the indi-
cator starts blinking, the throttle begins to open after the
control lever is moved at least 22.5.
After using the free throttle switch, return the control lever to
the neutral position. The free throttle switch will return auto-

matically to its set position. The digital electronic control-ac-
tive indicator will change from blinking to continuously lit
and the digital electronic control will then engage forward
and reverse normally.

Throttle friction adjuster

A friction device provides adjustable resistance to move-
ment of the control lever, and can be set according to oper-
ator preference.
To increase resistance, turn the adjuster clockwise. To de-
crease resistance, turn the adjuster counterclockwise.

If the friction is too small, the control lever could

move freely and cause an accident.
Do not overtighten the friction adjuster. If there is too

much resistance, it could be difficult to move the con-
trol lever, which could result in an accident.
