1. Test port I
The counterbalance test port (Figure 79) is used to
adjust the pressure in the counterbalance circuit.
Recommended counterbalance pressure is 470 psi
(3241 kPa). To adjust the counterbalance pressure,
rotate the adjusting screw (Figure 79) clockwise
to increase the pressure or counterclockwise to
decrease the pressure.

The flow control valve (Figure 80) is used to adjust
the rate at which the cutting unit lowers.

Mower Maintenance

Adjusting the Transport
Latch
If the transport latch (Figure 81) has to be
adjusted, adjust as follows:
1. Raise the front cutting unit fully off of the
floor, set the parking brake, and stop the
engine. Remove the ignition key.
2. Loosen flange nuts securing latch arm pivot
to traction unit frame.
3. Move latch arm pivot in or out until rubber
cushion of adjustment screw is centered under
deck latch. Tighten flange nuts.

4. Clearance between adjustment screw rubber
(Figure 82) cushion and deck latch should be
.125 inch. If an adjustment is required, loosen
nut on adjustment screw, adjust screw until
required clearance is attained and tighten nut.
