n DTMF transmission
If the transceiver has [DTMF Autodial] assigned to it, the
automatic DTMF Transmission function can be used. Up to 8
DTMF channels are selectable.
q Push [DTMF Autodial]— a DTMF channel appears.
w Push [CH Up] or [CH Down], or rotate [CH Up/Down] to
select a desired DTMF channel.
e Push [DTMF Autodial] to transmit the DTMF code.
❍ For Non-display types
You cannot select a desired DTMF channel. Pushing [DTMF
Autodial] transmits the DTMF code programmed in DTMF
channel 1.
ANALOG MODE OPERATION
n Scrambler function
The Voice Scrambler function provides private voice commu-
nication between users.
q Push [Scrambler] or [Scrambler/Encryption] to turn the
Voice Scrambler function ON.
• " " (for Handhelds) or " " (for Mobiles) appears.
w Push [Scrambler] or [Scrambler/Encryption] again to
turn the function OFF.
• " " (for Handhelds) or " " (for Mobiles) disappears.
❍ For Non-display types
q Hold down [Scrambler] or [Scrambler/Encryption] for 1
second to turn the Voice Scrambler function ON.
w Push [Scrambler] or [Scrambler/Encryption] again to
turn the function OFF.
