6. Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper.
❏ When you load paper in the stack bypass, the
following display appears.

The above display only appears if the NAME
STACK SIZE setting is set to OFF. For details, see

If you have loaded media other than standard plain
paper, you can select the paper type.
7. Use F3 (M) or F4 (L) to select the paper size loaded
in the stack bypass.
❏ When you set automatic magnification, you
cannot select FREESIZE.
8. If you selected a paper size other than FREESIZE, go
directly to step 13.

If you selected FREESIZE for the paper size, follow the
steps below.
9. If you selected FREESIZE in step 7, press Set.

10. Use the numeric keypad to enter the horizontal
length of the paper loaded in the stack bypass.
❏ You can select a length from 148 to 432 mm.
11. Press F3 (VERTICAL).

12. Use the numeric keypad to enter the vertical length
of the paper loaded in the stack bypass.

14. Press F2 (PAPER SELECT) to select the stack
bypass ( ).

❏ The paper size is shown in the LCD display.
❏ If you do not press Set within three seconds of
selecting the setting above, the setting will be
automatically set without you having to press
Set.

16. Use the numeric keypad to enter the number of
copies required.
❏ You can select from 1 to 99 copies.
❏ For one copy only, you do not need to enter the
number of copies.
❏ If you make a mistake, press Clear and start
again.
❏ You can also adjust the copy exposure and
image quality of the original.
17. Press Start to begin copying.
NOTE:
•
The stack bypass paper size selected in step 7
is not valid for receiving faxes or printing reports.

to set the stack bypass paper size for receiving
faxes or printing reports.)

If you always load the same paper size in the stack
bypass, you can specify the paper size for the stack
bypass by enabling the NAME STACK SIZE setting
and specifying a paper size. For details, see
Chapter 8 of this guide for the model or the facsimile
User's Guide for the other models. Please note that
you cannot select FREESIZE when you enable this
setting.
