cuff pressure are displayed. A
beep sounds which is synchron-
ised with your heartbeat.
A beep indicates the end of
measurement. The systolic and
diastolic readings appear simul-
taneously on the display, with the
pulse rate appearing alternately
(see fig.)
The reading is stored automatic-
ally.
Deflate the cuff completely by
pressing the exhaust button.

To switch off the device, simply
press the START/STOP button.
Otherwise the device will switch
itself off automatically after 3
minutes.
If you wish to stop measurement
for any reason, simply press the
exhaust button. The measuring
process is interrupted and an
automatic fall in pressure occurs.

8. Maintenance

Do not expose the device to
extreme temperatures, humidity,
dust or direct sunlight.
This device consists of high qual-
ity precision components. Do not
drop the device and protect it
against hard knocks.
Never open the device. Repairs
may only be carried out by quali-
fied individuals.
Only use a soft, moistened cloth
to clean the device. Do not use
detergents or solvents.
The cuff can be cleaned carefully
with a moist cloth and mild, pH-
neutral soap. Do not completely
immerse the cuff in water.
9. Checking the measurement
function
We recommend that measurement
function be checked at intervals of
two years in the case of profession-
al users, such as pharmacies,
medical practices and clinics. You

Pump again until a suitably high pressure is
