Additional Playback Functions

Next Selection: Preparing the next Audio Track

During playback of an audio CD, you can already prepare the next track that will be played as soon as the current one is
finished. The difference with direct selection of a track or disc is that playback of the prepared track starts only after the current
track is finished (i.e. not right away).

During playback of an audio CD, press
NEXT

The number of the selected disc and the
"AL" indicator flash on the display.
If you wish to play all tracks of the
selected disc, press the NEXT SELEC-
TION button again to confirm the opera-
tion. (If you do not press the NEXT
SELECTION button, the operation will be
confirmed when the number and the "AL"
indicator stop flashing.
AL: means that all tracks will be played back.
Skip to Step 3 to select the track number.

Notes:
• This function is only available for audio CDs (when the CD indicator lights).
• You need to press one of these buttons within 8 seconds after
pressing NEXT SELECTION. Otherwise, the Next Selection function
will be cancelled. In that case, start again with step 1.

Tip:
• You can also use the DISC SKIP
select the next disc.

Notes:
• The
function is activated. Pressing the DISC SKIP
DISC +/– buttons will cancel the Next Select function.
• You can only prepare one track with Next Selection. See "Program-
ming Memory Sequences" on page 22 for how to prepare a series of
tracks. Preparing yet another track before the previously entered
Next Selection command has been executed overrides your first
setting, so that only the second Next Selection is carried out.
• If you stop playback by pressing the
Selection function is cancelled.
If you decide not to take advantage of the Next Selection
function after all, proceed as follows:
1. Press the NEXT SELECTION button.
2. Press the CLEAR button.
3. Press the NEXT SELECTION button again.

Checking the next selection
Press the NEXT SELECTION button to
confirm your selection.
NEXT
The disc number flashes and the track

number lights up continuously. After a
few moments, the disc and track
numbers of the currently playing track
reappear.
You can check the next selection by
pressing the NEXT SELECTION button.
As soon as the current track is finished, the
DVD Changer will play back the prepared
track (or disc if you selected "AL").
