Next Selection: Preparing the next Audio Track

During playback of an audio CD, you can already prepare the next track that will be played as soon as the current one is
finished. The difference with direct selection of a track or disc is that playback of the prepared track starts only after the current
track is finished (i.e. not right away).

The NEXT indicator flashes and the disc number disap-
pears on the display.
Use the DISC1 – 6 buttons (or DISC + and DISC –) to
select the disc that contains the next track you want
to listen to.
The number of the selected disc flashes on the display.
If you want to play back all tracks of the selected disc,
skip to step 4 without selecting a track.
AL: means that all tracks will be played back.
Tip:
You can also use the DISC SKIP button on the DV-C600
to select the next disc.
Select the track using the numeric buttons.
The number of the selected track flashes on the display.
In that case, the display looks as follows:
Press the NEXT SELECTION button to confirm your selection.
The disc number and track number light up continuously.
After a few moments, the disc and track numbers of the
currently playing track reappear.
You can check the next selection by pressing the NEXT
SELECTION button.
As soon as the current track is finished, the DVD
Changer will play back the prepared track (or disc if you
selected "AL").
Tip:
NEXT SELECTION is also available during Memory
playback (see page 22) and Random playback (see page
25). Using Next Selection, will cancel the Memory or
Random playback function, however.
Note:
This function is only available for audio CDs
(when the CD indicator lights).
Note:
You need to press one of these buttons
within 8 seconds after pressing NEXT
SELECTION. Otherwise, the Next Selection
function will be cancelled. In that case, start
again with step 1.
Notes:
• Directly selecting another disc or track with
the DISC SKIP button, DISC +/–, DOWN
/UP
or the numeric buttons after
preparing a track with NEXT SELECTION
cancels the Next Selection function.
• You can only prepare one track with Next
Selection. See "Programming Memory
Sequences" on page 22 for how to
prepare a series of tracks. Preparing yet
another track before the previously
entered Next Selection command has
been executed overrides your first setting,
so that only the second Next Selection is
carried out.
• If you stop playback by pressing the STOP
button, the Next Selection function is
cancelled.
