tion as replacement.
1.
With the machine on a level surface, position the wheel so the
check/drain plug is at its lowest position.
2.
Place the drain pan under the hub, remove the plug and allow
the oil to drain.
3.
When all oil has been drained, position the wheel so the plug
hole is at three or nine o'clock position.
4.
Place the drain pan under the brake hub on other side of the
wheel.
5.
Remove the plug from the bottom of the hub and allow the oil
to drain.
6.
When all oil has drained, re-install the plug in the hub.
7.
Add high-quality SAE 85W-140 wt. gear lubrication to bring
the level up to the bottom of the hole and install the plug.
8.
Repeat this procedure on the opposite gear assembly.
REAR WHEEL TOE-IN (Fig. 50)
After every 800 operating hours or annually, check rear wheel toe-
in.
1.
Measure center-to-center distance (at axle height) at front and
rear of steering tires. Front measurement must be 1/4 in. less
than rear measurement.
2.
To adjust, loosen clamps at both ends of tie rods.
3.
Rotate tie rod to move front of tire inward or outward.
4.
Tighten tie rod clamps when adjustment is correct.
BACKLAPPING
Reels may stall while backlapping. do not attempt to
restart the reels by hand or touch the reels while backlap-
ping. Stop the engine and turn the Height-of-Cut knob
one position toward "A".
