6.Trouble Shooting
1. Q: Why is the directory selection failed?
A: The PINPAD's initial state has no subdirectories but only root directory; if you select a
directory other than Dir0, you will get a fail response. You need to the PINPAD issue
command to initialize the PINPAD before selecting a directory.
2. Q: Why do I get an Error Code 0x0b when downloading Authentication Key?
A: If the PINPAD's UID is not set, you may get an Error Code 0x0b.
3. Q: Why do I get an Error Code 0x0b when downloading the Work Key? All retries result in the
same Error Code.
A: PINPAD has a limit on the download frequency of Work Key; if the limit is exceeded, Work
Key download will be suspended for a certain time before it can be downloaded again.
4. Q: Why do I get an Error Code 0xe2 when setting Authentication Key?
A: Make sure the password you entered is correct and also whether you selected the correct
directory corresponding to the password you entered.
5. Q: Why do I get an Error Code 0x71 when invoking PIN Entry command?
A: Before using PIN Entry command, please send PIN Key selection command; each successful
selection will allow one PIN Entry command.
