Larga inactividad

En caso de que el vehículo permanezca
inactivo durante más de quince días es
necesario recargar la batería para evitar
la sulfatación.
•
Extraer la batería y colocarla en
un lugar fresco y seco.
En los períodos invernales o cuando el
vehículo permanece detenido, controlar
periódicamente la carga (una vez al
mes), para evitar su degradación.
•
Recargarla completamente con
una carga normal.
Si la batería permanece en el vehículo,
desconectar los cables de los bornes.
CONTROL Y LIMPIEZA DE TERMINA-
LES Y BORNES
•
Extraer parcialmente la batería
de su alojamiento.
•
Controlar que los terminales de
los cables y los bornes de la ba-
tería se encuentren:
- en buenas condiciones (y no corroídos
o cubiertos de depósitos);
- cubiertos con grasa neutra o vaselina.

Long periods of inactivity

If the vehicle is inactive longer than fifteen
days, it is necessary to recharge the bat-
tery to avoid sulphation.
•
Remove the battery and put it
away in a cool and dry place.
In winter or when the vehicle remains
stopped, check the charge frequently
(about once a month) to avoid deteriora-
tion.
•
Recharge it fully with an ordina-
ry charge.
If the battery is still installed in the vehicle,
disconnect the cables from the terminals.
CHECKING AND CLEANING TERMI-
NALS AND LEADS
•
Partially remove the battery
from its housing.
•
Check that the cable terminals
and battery leads are:
- in good conditions (not corroded or cov-
ered by deposits);
- covered by neutral grease or petroleum
jelly.
